This workshop takes place at 826LA East

Investigating Character is a dynamic interactive writing experience for students. They are invited to think creatively on their feet and playfully discover new characters and stories on their own, and as part of a collective of other young writers. By the end, they build a case file of their missing character uncovered during the workshop.

Anna Hays is a writer and producer for a variety of narrative and interactive media formats, including books, toys, theme parks, retail environments, film, and television. Across the country, in schools, libraries, and media institutions, she has led interactive writing workshops with the goal of helping students discover their own voices in an open and creative forum. Portia's Exclusive and Confidential Rules on True Friendship is the second book in her Portia Avatar series. The first, Portia's Ultra Mysterious Double Life, launched last year. Anna is currently working on a new book about a girl magician.
