This Is What It Was in the 1880s
Ages 10 – 14
Four sessions:
July 20, 22, 27, and 29
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
This workshop takes place at 826LA West
What would the world be like if Abraham Lincoln was never elected president? What if Great Britain won the Revolutionary War? What if, heaven forbid, Steve Jobs decided to work in a box-making plant instead of founding Apple? During this workshop, students imagine what history would look like if they were in charge. By thinking about things they would change, things they would add, and things they would like to completely delete from history, they will develop both their knowledge of history and writing skills. Whatever they decide, history is about to get crazy.
