College-Application and Scholarship Essays
Taught by 826LA and College Access Plan
Ages 14-18
Three Sundays: April 20, April 27, and May 4

This workshop takes place at 826LA East
1714 Sunset Blvd., Echo Park, CA 90026

By the end of this workshop, students will have complete drafts of essays for college applications and scholarship applications. Over the course of three weeks, College Access Plan and 826LA staff and volunteers (with immeasurable college preparation experience) will walk students through the dos and don'ts of the essay, the process of brainstorming and developing a voice, and techniques for revising essays.

Students should bring copies of scholarship applications and college applications that they are interested in.
